Elaine Harrington serves as the dedicated Club Secretary of Peamount United, one of Ireland’s most successful women’s football clubs. Since joining the club, Elaine has been instrumental in its growth, helping guide Peamount to historic achievements including winning the inaugural Women’s National League and becoming the first Irish team—male or female—to reach the final stages of the UEFA Champions League. Her leadership has supported the club through league and cup victories, European campaigns, and the development of a thriving youth pathway from U12 to U19. Elaine is a passionate advocate for women’s football, navigating the challenges of amateur status while striving for semi-professional progress. Her commitment to the players, volunteers, and the wider football community has earned her recognition, including the Services to Women’s Football Award. Elaine’s vision and tireless work continue to shape Peamount United’s legacy and inspire the next generation of female athletes in Ireland.
