Audit Programme Manager Trauma & Surgery, National Office of Clinical Audit (NOCA)

Mary Walsh joined the National Office of Clinical Audit in July 2025 as Audit Programme Manager for Trauma & Surgery. As part of her current role, she manages the Irish Hip Fracture and Fracture Liaison Service Databases, as well as leading a study to inform the development of an Irish National Audit of Rehabilitation. She previously held a Health Research Board funded fellowship (2021-2024) which supported the implementation of long-term outcome recording within the Irish Hip Fracture Database. After working clinically as a physiotherapist, Mary completed her PhD on stroke recovery in 2016. Her postdoctoral research focused on topics of falls, fractures, healthcare variation, prescribing practices and recovery after illness and injury.
